DIY Exercise Mat Disinfectant

I'm throwing it back by re-posting a post that I wrote back in March of 2017. The reason for this is because I really enjoyed this DIY. For all my fellow fitness aficionados out there, this is for you!

When you are exercising on a mat, you are sweating on it, right? Where does that sweat go? Nowhere! It stays on the mat and can bread bacteria if you don't take care of it regularly. Pretty gross, huh? This DIY disinfectant spray for your mat won't degrade the material, it smells great, and it natural and easy to make at home. Let me know what you think.

Cleansing Spray

  • 15 drops of organic eucalyptus essential oil

  • 10 drops of organic peppermint essential oil

  • 10 drops of organic tea tree essential oil

Fill a small spray bottle with distilled water. Add your essential oils and shake the bottle gently. Spray onto your mat after exercising.

Tea Tree is a natural anti-fungal, anti-microbial, and anti-bacterial oil. By spraying this mixture of oils on your mat, you are cleaning it without any soap or scrubbing. It is gentle on the plastic and leaves it smelling fresh.

Now you can exercise without worrying about bacteria or icky smells.

I would love it if you were to help me out with designing my new posts and email newsletter. If you could quickly hop over to my poll, here, you can fill out the questions really quick. Thank you so much for your help!

Have a wonderful day, friends!

Until next time,

Amanda
