Monday Munchies - Berry Smoothies for a Hot Day

The heat of Summer has definitely been getting to me. It has reached 100-degrees multiple times this week! With the heat, I feel like lower energy levels and dehydration accompany it. That is why I am sharing (and adapting) these wonderful recipes from The Awesome Green blog.

I love smoothies in the Summer because they are cold and offer a quick, delicious boost in energy levels. Berries contain important vitamins that help with eye health, skin health, and brain health. Bananas offer natural sweetener. Plain, organic yogurt is great for gut health because of its probiotics. Avocado contains healthy fats to keep you fuller, longer. Finally, collagen is excellent for skin and connective tissue health and strength.
