Monday Munchies - Energy Creamsicle


Instead of sharing a recipe for a meal or dessert today, I thought it would be a neat twist to share a drink instead. This energy drink is great for people with adrenal fatigue or lower functioning adrenals (this can cause fatigue and foggy thinking) as it naturally provides a pick-me-up for your body.

The orange juice provides an excellent source of vitamin C to boost the immune system and sea salt for essential minerals. It tastes like a creamsicle and you can even add some ice cubes to made it a great cool drink for the summertime.


Energy Creamsicle

Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces fresh orange juice

  • 1/4 cup full-fat coconut milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Directions:

Combine all ingredients together in a glass. Drink 2-3 times a day for an energy supply that lasts all day.

What is your favorite drink that gives you a pick-me-up?

I always recommend an herbal energy tea that doesn't contain too much black tea. It's also great to have a shot of espresso (contains less caffeine that drip coffee), but make sure it's organic or it will not benefit your body at all. Here's to a great, energy-filled Monday!
